     They are two types of software.
                                                            1)Application Software.
                                                            2)System Software.

    Difference between Application and System

       System Software

1) It performs Specific tasks.

1) It operates the hardware.

 

2)Ex: VLC, MS office, Windows Media  player.

2) It is a platform to run Application software.

Advantages of Operating System


1) It helps users to access the hardware in a easy way.
2) It helps to manage the users accesing the CPU.
